What is minimalist design?

A minimal design is just focusing on the essential and necessary components of the design. Preventing the unnecessary, and preventing too much of designs. It’s much like keeping as little as possible. It’s much like a lighter version.

Where are they used often?

It’s a common term used in designs. I used to come across the term mostly with web designs, apps, and even home interior designs.

Why is minimalism used?

When we just use as little as possible, it’s understood that the application or website will be very light. It’s mostly a preference. But it could also be used where space, and bandwidth could matter a lot.
